Dr. Alex Ott is a biochemist, an author, an alchemist, an organic food specialist and international explorer. He has created many products and has developed more than 300 functional beverage menus for world famous restaurants, bars, nightclubs and hotels. He has also formulated high-end nutraceutical health beverages, cosmeceuticals and fragrances, as well as mind enhancing and memory evoking beverages for future deep space travel. He has worked with giants like PepsiCo and NASA, developing flavors and sensorial experiences. He has contributed his knowledge of flavor chemistry to launch the most revolutionary cocktail menu at the famed Buddha Bar and Hotel in Paris, where the late Raymond Visan used Alex’s talent to expand and make Buddha Bar a global success.
Alex has consulted with many scientists, Nobel laureates, and flavor houses such as Givaudan, IFF, and Firmenich. He has contributed to more than 50 major spirits brands including the development of flavors for the biggest US vodka brand SVEDKA Vodka, Gallo Wines, and Moet Hennessy. Beyond the vast portfolio of organic beverage programs Alex has curated, he has also designed specialty drinks and scientific themes for high-end establishments and large-scale special events such as The Academy Awards & The Emmys. He has consulted on the formulations of high-end fragrances, developed never seen before ‘retort beverage pouches’ for deep space travel and helped developed the first ever hangover prevention supplement Mercy and the newly launched empathogenic supplement KA!
With over a decade of professional culinary experience, Thaddeus De Caprio has cultivated a deep passion for global flavors and the science behind every ingredient. He honed his craft in prestigious kitchens, including the renowned Maccioni Group restaurants like Le Cirque and Osteria del Circo, as well as other fine dining establishments, where he developed an appreciation for precision, creativity, and culinary artistry.
Previously, he founded Fooddeus, a catering business specializing in authentic Syrian comfort food—an experience that deepened his connection to Middle Eastern culinary traditions and their rich cultural narratives. Drawing inspiration from both Italian and Middle Eastern influences, his approach celebrates the history and significance of ingredients from around the world.
